An America's Favorite Inns Award-Winner, The Buttonwood Inn is a completely renovated 1820's farmhouse. The inn sits on five secluded acres on Mt. Surprise, just two miles from the village of North Conway. Our location affords our guests a peaceful, rural setting and the convenience of being close to everything. Ten individually decorated guestrooms, each with private bath, feature Shaker furniture, wide pine floors, stenciling, quilts, and antiques. Breakfasts are second to none. Three-time award-winning perennial gardens and extensive lawns surround the inn. A granite foundation from a long ago barn is the backdrop for our in-ground swimming pool. Just about any outdoor activity you like to participate in, year round, can be found within minutes of the inn. Whether it's walking, hiking, biking, or skiing and snowshoeing, the Mount Washington Valley has it all. You can even hike or cross-country ski from our back door. If you're not the outdoorsy type, there are extensive choices for shopping, antiquing, sightseeing and fine dining, just moments away.
