Private rustic 3-room cabin, interior is old barn wood siding, shower & kitchen. Doc's Hideout is a new private guest house, three bedrooms. Miss Mary's room is downstairs with her own bathroom (Mary was Doc's wife). Upstairs is Doc Middleton's room, has its own desk. David C. "Doc" Middleton, an alias for James Riley, was referred to as the "King of the Horse Thieves" and alleged leader if the gang called the "Pony Boys" who held rendezvous in teh Sandhills in the 1870's. Doc had many careers in his lifetime, including cowboy, saloon owner, and deputy sheriff. On Oct 6, 1887, Doc purchased the Brewster Saloon. This building still stands in Brewster today. Kid Wade's room is across the hall from Doc's. Kid rode with Doc's gang, more history of him. It is claimed that Hid Wade never was known to have operated in Blaine County, as his sister lived in Brewster. This room has its own deck.
