VILLAS OLAS TROPICALES (Tropical Waves), are located in the Costambar section of Puerto Plata, which is an international, residential community, and we are a Bed & Breakfast style Inn Resort. The accomodation is within two beautiful Spanish style villas.

"OLAS TROPICALES ", are situated in tranquil surroundings, only five minutes walk to the ocean and beautiful white sandy beaches. Across the road from " OLAS TROPICALES is the " Los Mangos " golf course club house, and only a par three away is the first tee of the golf course.

The gardens and grounds of th "Villas" hold many attractions to lovers of nature and natural beauty. A myriad of colors welcome you, with numerous species of colorful butterflies, insects and birds, including such intriguing entertainers as finches and hummingbirds.

Imagine yourself in all this colorful activity within a scenic background of tropical flora, trees, palms and cactus. Nature has created for us, a fine artists palette. The vegetation includes such delights as shades of hibiscus, bougainvilla, mantequilla, orchids plus the worlds traditional flowers, always in bloom.

Lemon,Mango, Tamarind, Breadfruit, Orange and Tangelo trees, vines and palms including, the Royal, African, Banana, Plantain and Coconut.

Stretching throughout an additional one and a half acres, are ponds, waterfalls bridges and fountains. Watch a while, and perhaps meditate, while the fish and turtles navigate the water fauna.

Our swimming pool is adjoined by a large patio area, it is full length, good for laps, or just a cool dip.

The beaches of Costambar, are long with beautiful stretches of white sand, fringed at the road side with almond trees. A place to escape th mid-day sun or perhaps have a beach picnic. Scattered along the beach road area are restaurants, snackbars and beach bars, offering everthing from a hot-dog or Dominican special to a gourmet meal complete with musical entertainment. Throughout the community there is a varied selection of restaurants, food and gift stores. We ourselves serve luncheon specials and beverages. Our Costambar B&B location, on the Dominican north shores, AMBER coast, is at an ideal location for visiting the many attractions of the Puerto Plata area and various other sites both east and west along the Amber coast.
