A unique "Berth and Breakfast" Inn, located in a historic railway station on a mountain Pass and in a National Forest. Victorian saloon game room for guests, featuring an old fashioned bar and game tables, a piano, antique, gift and craft items and museum displays, maps and diorama displays of the historic rails and trails across the Great Divide. Hiking, biking, and riding trails begin right at the door - where guests may walk or ride to gold or silver mines, or a nearby ghost town amid some of the grandest scenery anywhere, walk along Trout Creek and observe the beaver lodges and trout in the stream - or pan for gold or ride the railroad handcar. Great horse trail rides are just minutes away. Exciting group MURDER MYSTERY WEEKENDS - at historic locales and in costume - are a specialty of the house.

Depot rooms are furnished in authentic Victorian style, with real wood plank floors, brass or four-poster bed, down pillows and cozy hand made quilts. The open platform Pullman car is furnished as a private car of a nineteenth century railroad executive - with oriental rugs, brass lamps, varnished mahogany, and lots of red plush and gold braid. Each facility has its own private bath of course.

Each morning at the depot ticket office, we lay out a spread fit for the greatest of Victorian appetites: chilled juice, fresh fruit in season, cereals, meat, fresh baked breads, muffins or biscuits and country gravy - and on occasion, house specialty casserole dishes of "Tex Mex" or mountain man style with buffalo and turkey - also homemade preserves some from wild berries picked nearby.
