In 1995 the four children of Alta Mae Jenson set out to design and build a house large enough to accommodate their frequent "reunions." Their hope was that the house, packed with amenities, would also double as a bed and breakfast and elegant event facility where Alta Mae could share her rich experiences in the New Mexico heartland with tourists and travelers. Alta Mae spent her lifetime in New Mexico watching the state and its people change and grow. She enjoyed the rivers, mountains, desert and sky, and the richness of diverse cultures. Innkeepers David Aigner and Kathy Schuit have now created, within the rooms of her house, an elegant expression of that well-rounded heritage, choose from: White Sands - Decor of the desert southwest Hermit's Peak - A tribute to the Sangre de Cristos and mountains of New Mexico The Pecos - Inspired by the river's ranches and farmlands Gran Quivera - Classic New Mexican blend of Native American and Spanish influence Route 66 - Featuring memorabilia of the "great highway" passing through the state.
