A romantic and beautifully maintained Circa 1735 plantation with both manor and carriage house. Located in rural Essex County near Tappahannock on the Rappahannock River. In 1998, a ballroom was added that includes a large patio with fountain overlooking the pond. Ideal for both small and large receptions.

Conveniently located near historic attractions, antiquing, golfing, fishing, river cruises, museums, fine dining and much, much more. Stroll maintained trails through the forest leading to two stocked ponds, smell the fresh fagrance of the garden flowers, herbs, and boxwoods or simply relax on one of the five porches. Enjoy one of the many specials Sandy creates by ordering a fresh lemonade with a sprig of fresh mint.

If you have the opportunity, dine at the inn. Experience the taste and aroma of carefully prepared menus. The Pounsberry's have a combined 38 years in the restaurant and catering business and still continue with advanced training in the field.
