History and Hospitality! Longwood Manor, circa 1817, presents an elegant , tastefully decorated retreat to its guests. Originally a six-room log cabin called Retreat, Longwood was home to Thomas Moore, the remarkable Quaker who invented the refrigerator and coined the name. Moore supervised manyu of early America's great engineering projects and experimented in agriculture with Thomas Jeffesson. With it's 3 stories and massive columns, Longwood now resembles Mt. Vernon.

The suites feature vaulted ceilings, original flooring and many windows recalling the gracious living two centuries ago.
