Mason House Inn of Bentonsport21982 Hawk DriveBentonsport, Iowa 52565 United States 319-592-3133 800-592-3133 Stay@MasonHouseInn.com http://www.MasonHouseInn.com http://showcase.netins.net/web/bentonsport (Calculated from a total of 3 ratings) Rate this Inn Built in 1846 by Mormon craftsmen leaving Nauvoo, the Mason House Inn was originally built to accommodate the steamboat passengers on the Des Moines River. This antique hotel is furnished with authentic antique beds, dressers, quilts, and other furnishings. Our parlor, with original antique sofas, lamps, pump organ, and piano, is available to our guests. We have a fireplace in the 40' dining room, which we light in the winter for our guests to enjoy. A tradition started in 1856, by Nancy Mason, is still in place today, and that is "A cookie jar in every room". Each of our 8 rooms has its own bathroom. The Caboose Cottage is in a real railroad caboose and features a kitchen, bathroom, dining area, queen bed, satellite TV and internet access. The Des Moines River is just a stone's throw away. Our historic village is full of brick buildings built in the 1800s, including the oldest and longest iron truss bridge across the Des Moines River. Night life in Bentonsport is full of peace and quiet and starwatching. Our Inn is perfect for family reunions, retreats, small seminars, honeymoons, ghost hunting and weekend get-aways!
